Teacher Walkout for education funding

A large group of Porter teachers descended the State Capitol yesterday in a joint effort with thousands of other teachers across Oklahoma to show their solidarity. Porter teachers, with their signs, backpacks, and walking shoes on, marched on the Capitol lawn, visited with other teachers and leaders inside the capitol, met with our Representative Kevin McDugle, and Senator Kim David, and listened intently to the House floor debates and decision making. We were a positive, appreciative force for Porter Schools.
